FRODDS®

Privacy policy.

This is a thorough draft for counsel, not legal advice. FRODDS defaults to play-money. Real-money operation depends on licensing that has not been obtained.

Who we are.

FRODDS is a social peer-to-peer betting product. You bet on your friends. This page describes personal data we collect when you use the website and related services.

What we collect.

We collect the data needed to run an account, a group, and a bet.

  • Account: email, display name, date of birth, hashed password, and sign-in tokens from Apple or Google if you use them.
  • Social graph: friends, groups, invitations, and the member list snapshotted onto each bet.
  • Bets: prompt slots you fill, stakes in integer cents, consent, sealed votes, disputes, and evidence you upload.
  • Money movement: ledger entries, deposits, withdrawals, and fee posts. Balances are derived. We do not store a mutable balance field.
  • Device and log data: IP address, user agent, and security events needed to rate-limit and audit.

How we use it.

We use this data to create your account, enforce the 18+ rule, run groups, open and settle bets, send in-app notifications, prevent abuse, and keep the ledger reconcilable.

We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it.

Account, ledger, ballot, and settlement records are retained for as long as your account exists and for a further period required to complete disputes, chargebacks, tax, and audit. Exact retention periods depend on the launch jurisdiction and will be set by counsel.

Who we share it with.

We share data only with processors that run the product:

  • Hosting and datastore (cloud compute, MongoDB Atlas, object storage for avatars and evidence).
  • Email and authentication providers (Apple, Google) when you choose those sign-in methods.
  • In real mode only: a payments provider and a KYC provider. Those adapters are not active while PLATFORM_MODE=play.
  • Authorities when the law requires it.

Processor identities and transfer mechanisms (including SCCs) must be confirmed before launch.

Your rights.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or PIPEDA. Those typically include access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, and the right to object or to appeal a denial. California residents may request that we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by statute. We will publish a request path and a response timeline after counsel reviews the launch market.

Where this applies.

Geographic availability, cross-border transfers, and a supervisory authority are licensing-dependent. Do not treat this draft as a determination that FRODDS may operate in any particular country or state.

Children.

FRODDS is for people 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete the account.

How to reach us.

Privacy requests go to the contact address published at launch. Until then, treat this page as a draft for review, not a live notice.
